The jaundice that you see in newborns can happen for roughly the first 2 weeks or so till feeding issues are sorted. So you need to focus all your efforts in feeding the baby regularly. Keep a track of how many times he passes urine which gives you an idea if lactation is improving. If urine output is less and baby is appearing more yellow especially if he’s yellow upto his tummy/ hands and feet then most likely jaundice is increasing. So these are the things you need to monitor.
